Welcome to the Unofficial Garden State Parkway Homepage. This website was started more than 10 years ago as an effort to provide information about the Garden State Parkway. Since then, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (and formerly the New Jersey Highway Authority) has provided a lot more information on their site as far as general information about the road and many other items. For official Garden State Parkway business, visit their website at http://www.state.nj.us/turnpike/. Because you can find so much information on exit numbers, maps, toll rates, and other information on the official website, this site will focus on history and other fun facts about the Garden State Parkway. Please recognize that I am not an employee for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, but rather the GSP's #1 fan. This means I do not know all the laws and regulations, I can't get you an application to be a toll collector, and I can't help you if you accidentally ran a toll!
